The Museum is set in Villa Orna, a mansion of the late eighteenth century and was born out of Gioacchino Obrietan's passion for the East. A passion that prompted him to set up the first Italian museum of Oriental antiques. The venue has been designed in collaboration with Professors Xu Jing Tian and Mario de Ruitz, and is organized into five sections.
In the first one we will find furniture of aristocratic residences which belonged to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), in the second one there are some examples of Chinese bell art of the sixteenth century. Another section is dedicated to the Tibetan art and culture, with furniture and sacred objects. The last section includes the Vietnamese Thais ceramic.
