The small church of St. Gaudenzio, also known as "Santa Apollonia" was probably built during the thirteenth century, when the lumberjacks from Germany arrived to the area bringing the cult of a saint dear to them, St. Gaudenzio. The building was restored at different times, you can recognize modifications from different periods due to the rise of the roof to make room for an eighteenth-century altar from the old church of Grancona. Above the altar in a stone apse there is a picture of Santa Apollonia and a valuable brass and copper cross dating back to the 17th century.
