Along the many paths that cross the territory of Zovencedo you can discover unspoiled natural landscapes, ancient fountains with washrooms (Fontana della Villa, Fontana de Biste, Fontana dei Galvani or delle Piane, Fontana del Monte, Fontana del Borgo, Fontana di San Gottardo, Fontana dei Trotti or del Travegno, Fontana delle Donne), old abandoned "priare" (stone quarries).
One of these quarries opened in a ledge overlooking Val Pressia, with the view of the town castle, has been cleverly converted into a specific rock house, called the "Sengia di Meoni", from the name of the last family who inhabited it.
The house is built on two levels: entrance, kitchen with stove and the sink below; bedrooms above. Always within the "priara", there is a stable and the adjacent rural area. A lightning bolt, which fell from the chimney during a thunderstorm, forced the family to leave the house in 1959.
Given the peculiarities of the site, consisting of its extraordinary natural and anthropological interest, the municipal administration of Zovencedo acquired the area in 2013 and has carried out the restoration for conservation purposes and for the enjoyment of the rocky residence.
