Literature and tasty local products. A combination that can be more than a starting point to discover this land. For this we propose a two days dedicated to culture and gastronomy.
In Montegalda we find Villa Fogazzaro-Roi (now Colbachini) that in "Small modern world" is the residence of Don Giuseppe Flores, the priest confessor Piero Maironi and Marchioness Nene Scremin. The villa of XVI century, was Giovanni Antonio Fogazzaro, grandfather of the novelist. The famous architect and patriot Antonio Caregaro Negrin deals with the renovation of the building in 1846 and under the supervision of Don Giuseppe Fogazzaro, uncle of the writer (also a scholar of botany) designs lake, parkland and garden all 'Italian minutely described in the novel.
Part of the architectural complex is now the Museum of the Bells Veneto, the richest and most cured collection of bells in Italy, now about to become the largest in Europe, which collects historical items, curiosity and processing methods visible in the reconstruction of a foundry static.
The second day will be devoted to the visit of two major food companies. The first is a historic distillery located in Montegalda, in business since 1840 into adequate frame of a building of the sixteenth century. Even the sheep and goat cheese, has still a significant production reality. Also in Montegalda, in particular, is based company that since 1982 has earned the consideration of experts and restaurateurs. Here are produced goats flavoured with herbs grown on their own, pink or white mold cheese, Camembert type and Taleggio, or so-called 'marbled', in green and blue mold, Gorgonzola and Roquefort type.
