Two days in vineyards accompanied by a donkey

The culinary tradition is united with the natural heritage in a really calm and sustainable tourist experience, which makes it even more rich and unique. A donkey's pace through the vineyards of the Berici Hills. A hiking trek to slowly discover the places where the grapes native of the area are grown, such as Tai Rosso. Walking is better to be able to appreciate the sights, stopping at the wineries to taste the wines and typical products. In terms of trekking routes, donkeys with holders for luggage transport are available, as well as experienced guides.
Inspired by the Wine Road, the route starts from the Lake of Fimon, with a guided tour and a lunch-tasting of typical products and wines. The lake is rich in important archaeological finds and the surrounding area is rich especially in terms of flora and fauna.
The second stage in Mossano, with a visit to the Grotto of San Bernardino, now a hermitage, then it's time for dinner and an overnight stay at the farmhouse.
The second day includes the descent through the Valley of the Mills, where you can see the two old water mills and observe them "at work".

Admiring and tasting among stardust

Wine and stardust. Do not miss the opportunity to participate in a summer event dedicated to the tasting of local wines and to stargazing: "Calici di Stelle" (Goblets of Stars); (a weekend in August). The centre of Barbarano Vicentino comes alive with music, food stalls, and restaurants with outdoor seating.
The formula is set: a customized chalice for the evening with shoulder strap and tickets purchased in any amount to taste simple, aged or bottled wines. There is a rich list of the number of participating companies, which represent the most appreciated wines of the Berici Hills, such as Tai Rosso, and its reserve variety called the "Barbarano", an indigenous variety of the Berici Hills, which in recent years has been gaining the deserved attention, the Carmenere, the Prosecco Doc, the Garganega, not forgetting the sparkling wines produced in classical way. A firework display is planned later in the evening.
The next morning it is advised to book a visit in Villa Sangiantofetti Rigon.

A route designed by olive trees

History, art, life and landscape. Nothing like a cycling tour allows you to discover the treasures of the Berici Hills in an active and fun way. With this package we propose a route accessible to all, which rejoices in the area and in one of its most important treasures: the olive groves.

On the first day you departure from Nanto to complete the Path of Olives. It is a short but fascinating walk in a typical coastal area with traditionally cultivated olive groves. After a short flat stretch along Via Cà Bassa, which allows you to admire two old stone washhouses, the Fountain of Sòto and the Washhouse of Priare, it winds through the hills before crossing the wet brushwood, and then picturesque terraced vineyards and olive groves, with a beautiful view towards the plain and the Euganean Hills.
Olive and truffle are in fact the local products-subjects of a local traditional festival called "Ulivo e tartufo" of the Berici Hills, which is held in July: excellent opportunity to visit the sites.
The cycling tour includes stops to admire the views and concludes with dinner offering local De.Co. products: tartufo scorzone (seasonal), oil and Sirah Wine.

On the second day you will visit the Experimantal Olive Grove of Nanto where the attendees can participate in practical demonstrations of pruning and in practical courses on the techniques of cultivation of this precious fruit. One can really experience the magic of the birth of the famous oil from Vicenza, which is becoming increasingly popular in the market for its quality and characteristics.

Living the Middle Ages for a weekend

This package dedicates three days to discover the ancient traditions of the Berica Land, in the charming castle of Castelgiuncoli in Lonigo. Here you can appreciate crafts and typical products, from story to the costumes. All this in the three event-filled days called "Leonicus".
The event is dedicated to Guglielmo dalla Scala is held in mid-October and provides a dense network of events: conventions, shows, flea markets, parades, pageants.
During "Leonicus" we propose a package of three days which includes two nights in Lonigo in the area adjacent to the conduct of the events. The offer includes two nights in a hotel, welcome drink, two breakfasts and two lunches based on typical products.
The dinners will be held within the village, during the unfolding of events, since it will be set up for all the three days many food stands.
The stay in Lonigo will be an opportunity to visit - on request - Villa Pisani in Bagnolo, Rocca Pisana, and Villa Soranzo - Mocenigo and Villa Scortegagna, consistent periods of openness and, eventually, to the availability of guides.

Literature and tasty local products. A combination that can be more than a starting point to discover this land. For this we propose a two days dedicated to culture and gastronomy.

In Montegalda we find Villa Fogazzaro-Roi (now Colbachini) that in "Small modern world" is the residence of Don Giuseppe Flores, the priest confessor Piero Maironi and Marchioness Nene Scremin. The villa of XVI century, was Giovanni Antonio Fogazzaro, grandfather of the novelist. The famous architect and patriot Antonio Caregaro Negrin deals with the renovation of the building in 1846 and under the supervision of Don Giuseppe Fogazzaro, uncle of the writer (also a scholar of botany) designs lake, parkland and garden all 'Italian minutely described in the novel.
Part of the architectural complex is now the Museum of the Bells Veneto, the richest and most cured collection of bells in Italy, now about to become the largest in Europe, which collects historical items, curiosity and processing methods visible in the reconstruction of a foundry static.

The second day will be devoted to the visit of two major food companies. The first is a historic distillery located in Montegalda, in business since 1840 into adequate frame of a building of the sixteenth century. Even the sheep and goat cheese, has still a significant production reality. Also in Montegalda, in particular, is based company that since 1982 has earned the consideration of experts and restaurateurs. Here are produced goats flavoured with herbs grown on their own, pink or white mold cheese, Camembert type and Taleggio, or so-called 'marbled', in green and blue mold, Gorgonzola and Roquefort type.

The smell of the must, the taste of wine

This is a perfect proposal for those who want to live intensely the territory and the traditions of the Berici Hills. The best wineries open their doors to tourists, not only to spread the smell of must, but also to reveal the secrets of some of the most appreciated wines and spirits in the world.
We suggest to try this experience in Autumn when the wineries can involve you in the harvest.
Along the red and yellow rows, learn to recognize the juicy ripe grapes while admiring the surrounding landscape, beautiful in that particular time of year. Remove the clusters from the branches, to watch the production of the precious fruit and finally to taste it.

The proposal provides two days (to be held during the harvest) in one of the wineries affiliated, in the all inclusive formula (dinner, breakfast and lunch included). In particular, the dinner of the first evening will be accompanied by a selection of wines paired with dishes of Berica Land and followed by a guided tour of the winery.
Walking along the rows to know something more about the history of wine and spirits of the area, relax in the countryside for a weekend between colours and flavours of Berica Land.

Welcome drink and a guided tour of the winery with a short walk in the vineyard; the company staff will be available for explanations during the postharvest handling. It's also planned a convivial dinner with all those who have participated to the harvest with the presence of sommeliers or wine experts for pairings.

Berico landscape: history, secretes and emotions

Villas and rural courts, sinkholes, wineyards, mills and villages, all this and much more is the Berico landscape. Everything is rich in history, art, tradition and in charming nature, it's a landscape that does not tire the eye or the mind, and that it will be impressed in your memory.

The package includes lunch and dinner with local products of the season and wine of the Berici, with an overnight stay in a farmhouse.
The next morning we leave to discover the smells and the colours of Berica land with a walk of about 5 miles starting from Orgiano to Monte delle Piume (Mount of Feathers), continues towards Monte Molinetto and descends in the country, always immersed in a rich and evocative nature.
After lunch-tasting we move to visit the Museum of Rural Life, the natural conclusion of a journey that has brought us to the discovery of a rich landscape of rural traditions. The museum displays a wide collection of furniture indeed rural and agricultural tools.
